Thanksgiving Fun

Levi had a ton of fun over thanksgiving with his cousins. He got to see Ainsley, Reese Jonah and Rory all the way from MI! There were lots of fun festivities like a walk to see the goats that feed on the side of Missionary Ridge with his cousins Henry, Simon and Lucy live, have a birthday party for Henry and just lots of fun time playing! We are finally starting to decorate for Christmas at our house...Levi is getting excited to see all the christmas trees and Santas.

More fun days!

Levi got to have fun with Brady before Brady's new baby sister was born. We didn't mean to dress them alike! :)
He also has been doing a lot of work around the house in his dad's boots and with his hard hat and tools! Between going to the potty ALL the time, we do have a little time to play! He is starting to get a little better about going all at once, but for weeks he was holding it to go more times because he figured out he could get more treats!! Crazy kid! He is doing really really well with potty training though so that is exciting. He is still talking all the time and is looking forward to his cousin Henry's birthday party this week and seeing his MI cousins for Thanksgiving, Ainsley Reese, Rory and Jonah. There is always more fun to be had when you are two!

Fun with Nanna and Poppa

Levi got to have another little birthday celebration with Nanna and Poppa while they were here for a visit. He had lots of fun at the park, at the choo and just playing with Nanna and Poppa! He has asked a few times already if he can go to Michigan. He knows that is where they are!

The Life of a TWO year old

Levi has had an exciting first week being two. He helped us sand and "work" on the hardwood floors, he had fun at Gma and Gpa workman's house and stayed at a hotel a couple nights while our floors dried where he got to swim! You can see him working, relaxing in a bouncy seat that he still thinks is fun that we have out for the babies in our bible study and how he likes to dress like a thug! :)

TWO!!

Well, Levi is already TWO! He likes to say that he is "dos". He had quite the birthday party on friday with Henry, Simon, Lucy, Grandma, Great Grandma and Great Grandpa and Auny Sally! They played at the park, played golf (with golf sets Gma got them), ate, watched boats and looked for fish, had a parade...ate some more. Levi was able to blow out his candle before even grandma could light it!

The first pic is levi ready for to go for his party. Then a couple there and one with his beloved superman ball that matches his shirt! :) When he wears the monkey hat, he is Curious George which is another favorite.

Levi has been reliving his party since then. He sets out plates and goes through everyone at his party and then sings to himself. He also puts on his monkey hat since he wore that at the party so that is the designated party hat.

His other favorite game since the party is golfing. He is enjoying golfing around all the furniture since we have a huge mess while we are redoing our hardwood floors this week! It makes for lots of good golf holes.

Picnic and Sleepover!

Levi had another sleep over at Gma and Gpa Workman's house this weekend with his cousins Henry and Simon. They went to the hospital picnic and had lots of fun and ate lots of good food and played lots of games. Levi wasn't quite brave enough to ride the horse yet but he enjoyed watching Henry and playing other games. He also had a swim, went to the park where he likes to "climb ladders" and just enjoyed being with the Gs and Henry and Simon. When he met us to come home yesturday, he said that he didn't want to come home, he wanted to stay with Grandma and that he didn't miss us!

He continues to talk about Curious George all the time and likes to watch his show every morning and night and wear his Superman shirt. :)

Superman, Birthdays and Sickness

Levi's new favorite thing is to wear his superman shirt and tell everyone he sees, "I Superman!". We do have to wash that shirt and vest occasionally so those are sad days but he can hold anything red and still feel like he is Superman. :) He took a red sweatshirt to the Y nursery last week and told all the workers that he was superman. They thought that was quite funny.

Levi has been having fun celebrating Aunt Sally's birthday this past week with his cousins Henry, Simon and Lucy as well as Grandma, Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. Unfortunately, eveyone has gotten a stomach bug too. Levi is doing a lot better today but is still pretty tired. He is eatting again but only a little bit of bland goods like crackers and cereal. Unfortunately, his dad is not so lucky and had to go to work today pretty sick!

Fun with cousins

Levi has had a good time playing with his cousins. His cousin lily visited for a week last week and he got to see her almost everyday! He has also been having fun with Henry, simon and Lucy. He is talking more and more everyday and coming out with new phrases and words that surprise us. Today he keeps telling me that it is raining outside and that he is thirsty. :) He has also been enjoying all the work going on at the neighbors house. He likes to pull in his chair and watch all the trucks.

Levi's Brady Day

Today was a Brady day where his friend comes to play which is great fun! This picture is from last week when his Cousin Henry was here too and they had a pillow fight with Brady! Always a good time!

Toddler Days

Here are some examples of Levi's current days as a Toddler. He learned how to climb on his toys to reach what he wants on his toy shelf, he likes to pretend this crate is a "Boto" (that is some combination of boat in english and spanish), and having a popcorn party in his PJs! He LOVES popcorn but he only likes to eat it with milk and in his PJs. :) He learned this at his slumber party with Henry and Simon at Grandma and Grandpa workmans house and now he likes to do it as much as he can.

He did have a party at Grandma and Grandpas for his mommy's birthday last weekend. He seemed to reallly enjoy it and called me Grandma once when we got home!

When he mows with craig, he isn't so sure about doing the hill yet so he just keeps going and waits for craig to join him. :)

Levi and Brady

Here is Levi having a great time with his new friend Brady. He loves to play with him and has had a couple of playdates since we have been back. They are only two months apart, so it is really fun to see them playing together and doing lots of the same things.

Levi's favorite things to do these days are ride on Papi's back with a saddle (his Blanket) and say "Giddy-up". I actually do have a video of this, but I am having a hard time downloading it so I will work on getting that on here. The second thing he is loving doing now is mowing the lawn with Papi. He has a little plastic lawn mower and he follows Craig around the yard and tries to exactly what he does. He gets a little confused on how to go up the hill and keep pushing, but he is learning fast! When they are done, they are both POURING sweat because it is SO hot here! Like father like son!

He is also coming up with new words and sentences and things to instruct us to do all the time. He likes to tell me which color cloth diaper to put on him, which clothes and shoes he wants to wear, when he is ready to go some where in his car seat and who he wants to see!

We visited the Jewish cultural center yesturday where he might do a two year old class this fall. He didn't want to leave with me and starting playing with the other kids and making himself at home right away. He talks about going to the school, but I think his mother might have a harder time with it!

Home Again in TN!

We are finally back in Tennessee! We had a long trip back with lots of traffic, but we are back!! Levi had a great time playing with all his michigan cousins as you can see in these pictures. He got lots of time with his cousins Ainsley and Reese while Rashel was on bedrest with the twins. He played lots of games like doctor and dress up. He got to see his cousin lily on the way up and back home and enjoyed eatting cantelope with her at her little table. He went to the zoo with his friends Luke and Anna. He went on his first hay ride with all the Lubbers clan at the farm! He rode the tractor with Daddy and Pappa, played in the sand with all the Lubbers cousins, saw ducks with Olivia and Tyler, Played at the park with Ainsley and Reese and went to the beach with Josh, Jenna, Olivia, Tyler and Abigal.

Overall, he had a nice time. He keeps asking where his MI cousins are now that we are home, but he was very happy to see his toys and bed and his TN cousins, Henry and Simon and Lucy yesturday.

Michigan

We are in Michigan! Levi is enjoying playing with all his Michigan cousins and his Gma and Gpa Lubbers! He got to see his cousin Bryce's last baseball game and you can see him enjoying his cousins in the pictures at the park and various places. He is talking more all the time and seems to have new words daily. He is calling Blocks, Blockos these days. I guess he decided that is easier than saying bloqueos or blocks so he combines them. He is also using more complete sentences like "Look at this". He has gone to Lake Michigan once so far but wasn't sure what to think about all that sand! He is sitting here coloring and cleaning as I write this at Panera!
