More Clara Kate and Levi

Levi enjoyed helping me give Clara Kate her first bath since she's been home yesturday then enjoyed holding her for a while. He enjoys watching her in the swing too and thought it was really great to put a bow on her head in the one picture. He likes to tell her that she is cute. He walks around carrying our old camera and pretends to take pictures of her all the time!

First week as a Big Brother!

Levi has enjoyed being a big brother so far. He has participated in her first walk which she did stay awake for a lot of until we got out the camera which is pretty impressive for her 3rd day. He likes to help with diaper changes. His duties are getting out wipes, throwing away the diaper and helping pull over the tabs. He LOVES to help and will come running from anywhere in the house to help when he hears she needs to be changed! He also loves to hold her and talk to her. He talks to her about what he is doing and asks her if she would like to eat too, play too, watch shows too, etc. He is getting a little possessive of "his baby, Clara Kate", but overall he is enjoying having someone else in the house.

Levi the Big Brother!

Levi has been having a wonderful time at Grandma's house since Clara Kate has been born, but he was VERY excited to come home to see Clara Kate today! He wanted to hold her and bring her the baby toys and give her books...He thinks he can carry her all by himself, but we are working hard to squelch this quickly! He enjoyed showing her his room and where he sleeps and where she will sleep. He is looking forward to taking her on her first walk when he wakes up from his nap today.

Clara Kate has arrived!

Clara Kate is here! For those that don't know, she arrived at 4:54 pm on Sunday, July 20th. She was 7 lb 5 oz and 21 inches long. Levi got to spend the day with Grandma and Grandpa and Great Grandma and Great Grandpa and some fun cousins from Conyers while he waited for the news. Then he got to come see her a couple hours after she was born. He has been having more fun with Grandma and Grandpa at their house since then, but is excited to come home soon to welcome her!

We have a few pictures from the hospital and levi coming to meet her and then her ready to come home! She came home already last night and had an amazing first night sleeping for a 5 hour stretch!! We couldn't ask for a better first night with her.

We think she looks a lot like levi so stay posted and I will let you decide for yourself in the next posting!

Still waiting...

Levi loves to dance for us and then watch himself on the camera. He likes to try different moves and then see how it looks. :)

Between baseball and swimming and dancing, he has learned how to throw a frisbee which he is quite happy about. Another day, another accomplishment! He is also speaking spanish more but only to Dora on the tv! We know he understands because he will respond to us in english, but he doesn't like to speak it to us. I guess Dora will have to do!

Waiting for Clara Kate

Levi likes to show off his belly too. Clara Kate was due yesturday but she has yet to show herself. We are having contractions now but they aren't very strong yet, so we will see. Levi thinks he is ready to go to Aunt Sally's to sleep tonight and then to Grandma's tomorrow....but we shall wait and see.

Heavy Lifting

Here is some fun that Levi had last week at Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's house with his cousins. They have a nice little grassy area to ride their bikes to. As you can see, Levi likes to take care of carrying his bike back to the road all by himself. This is not child abuse! He insists on carrying and doing things by himself just like he carries the milk through the grocery store! He can actually do it now and we sometimes get some looks from people wondering what is wrong with me for making him carry the milk! Little do they know, he insists! He says he is big and strong! We have progressed from when he was one and would lift the milk in the cart like a weight just to show me he could do it and now he has to carry it all the way out to the car too. Levi has been counting the days down for Clara Kate to come but he has decided that she can't come today for some reason. Just thought I would let everyone know, levi has spoken, no Clare today! :)

Catching up on Levi

I am trying to catch up on Levi pictures before Clara Kate comes! Here are pictures from when we stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's house while they were in Chicago and MI. Levi enjoyed jumping off the diving board, having squirt gun fights with Papi, kicking around the pool with his noodle and learning to play Wii Golf! What a life! We aren't sure what we are going to do when Papi has to go back to school! This sure has been a fun summer with him around to play and let Mommy sleep in everyday!
