Birthday Girl!

Clara Kate is 5!!  Woohoo!  She is so excited about being 5 and was counting down on her birthday place mat for the big day for a month, thanks to Grandma for her birthday counter place mat!

Here is the birthday girl at Mellow Mushroom for her Bday lunch.  She likes to watch the pizzas being flipped!  And yes, she picked out the birthday outfit herself complete with her cowgirl boots which was appropriate considering her gift later, her new doll, Sara Kate, wearing pink cowgirl boots too!
In the afternoon she had a combined party with her cousin Lucy for some swimming and cake action!  It was quite fun to have a party for the two girls with all the boys!

And our Gluten Free ice cream cake!  Yum! (Levi wants a similar cake for his birthday now too!)

Some Atlanta fun too...

We did a day trip to Atlanta for some free kids meals at Ikea and some water fun at Centennial Park!

Cow Day, Childrens museum and some swimming....Summer goes on!

Yes, the annual Cow Day at Chick fil A where we all get FREE meals for dressing like cows.  The kids LOVE it!

Swimming!  Ck and Ollie are getting braver all the time. Ollie is getting around by himself in his life jacket which is a BIG improvement for him.  The little guy who makes BIG jumps and talks big but tends to be scared of the more simple things!  And Ck is learning to swim on her own.  She likes a noodle (and so do we!) for security as she gets tired. And Levi is working on real strokes.

Then fun at the Childrens Museum with Grandma.  The kids loved the Magic Tree House exhibit and of course all the other stuff too!

New York City, New York!

My big city boy....his first flight, first time on the subway, seeing the statue of liberty, times square, Empire State Building, Freedom Tower, Rockefellar Center, going to all 5 boroughs, seeing fireworks in New York, going to a Yankees game....a boy's dream...tall buildings and lots of modes of transportation!  And of course a great time with Kate and mom too!

His first street show experience. He saw a guy do a flip over 5 people!

Everything is fun and new in New York!  Just riding the subway was super fun for Levi!  He enjoyed standing up trying to balance himself and figuring out which stops and trains would get us where we were going. His favorite train was the Q!  That's the newest one that took us to Kate's in Brooklyn!

Yankees fans for a day!  We got to see the Yankees play the Orioles!

 Transit Museum fun...
He got to see what subway cars in each era looked like, pretend to do some driving of them and some buses and learn more about all the transportation in a big city like New York. He LOVED it.  And he got to hang out with mommy's friend Amy and her son, Malachi too!
