Merry Christmas...

Here are some of the pics from the Lubbers Family Christmas party. CK gots lots of attention and loved that and levi really enjoyed playing with all his cousins! As he gets older, he remembers them better so isn't as shy and just gets right in on the action! He says he would like to go back! :) We're not quite ready to put him back in the car yet though!

White Christmas...

Despite our shortened trip due to illness, Levi and Clara Kate had a wonderful time in Michigan with their Nana and Papa and seeing all their Michigan cousins and playing in the snow and seeing the deer at Nana and Papa's house! Levi remembered seeing the deer last year and had been looking forward to seeing them again this year and was very pleased to see quite a few every day he was there! He also enjoyed playing in the snow since there was lots of it this year and saying "ROAR" to Papa in the morning! :)

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Levi enjoyed helping set up the christmas tree and decorate it this year. He also thoroughly enjoyed the lighted boat parade downtown. After we set up the tree he asked if we could pack to go to Nana and Papa's house too. He doesn't quite get the christmas "season" idea yet and wants christmas itself to be here. He is learning though and enjoying decorating and talking about all the things he thinks he wants for christmas. I'm not sure how kids learn to be so materialistic at such a young age, but I guess it is innate. It is part of the fun for him to look at toy ads from the paper and point things out he likes. :)

Cousin Henry's Dress Up Birthday Party!

Levi and Clara Kate both enjoyed dressing up for their cousin Henry's 6th Birthday party last Saturday. Clara Kate was a princess and Levi started out as Buzz Lightyear and then ended as a Ninja since it was a "ninja-fish" themed party and the boys got ninja costumes! :) Levi keeps talking about his next birthday and can't wait. We have told him it

will be 10 months till his next birthday, but he doesn't seem to mind and still enjoys talking about it.

4 months!

Clara Kate is getting so big! You can see in the last picture that holding her isn't as easy for Levi as it once was! :) He still loves it though! She is quite vocal and enjoys any and all attention. She loves it when anyone talks to her and loves to watch her big bro play and be silly. It is pretty hilarious to hear them laughing together. What fun!

CK with a lot to say...

We often try to get videos of Clara Kate talking and laughing, but usually the minute she sees the camera come out, she is mesmerized and has to stop everything else! She is getting more and more vocal everyday and seems to really want to be heard and talked to a lot! We thought maybe we would have a quiet and laid back child this time, but so far, it seems that that is not the case! :) Levi is loving it as you probably imagine!

Chub o Lub!

I like to call CK my Chub o Lub when she is just in a diaper and you can see all her cute rolls! I love it! :) You can see Levi enjoying the carnival he had last weekend to raise money for his school. His favorite thing was the slide that he wanted to do over and over and over again!
He had an exciting week this week since we were down one car and we got to get up early and take Papi to school! What fun! Unfortunately his enthusiasm is not contagious first thing in the morning! Mom and Dad are thankful to have two cars again!

October Days

Here are some every day pictures taken in the last week or so. Clara Kate had her first little pony tail. :) Levi LOVES to see things like Clara Kate in a new outfit, something in her hair, shoes on her feet, seeing her in her bumbo seat, laying by her on the floor, reading her books, seeing her in her little high chair seat, etc. Needless to say, they both have lots of fun!

Pumpkin Party

The Kids LOVE parties so here is our pumpkin party! They bobbed for apples as you see in the first two pictures, played find the pumpkins, ate cupcakes, played Wacky Ball games, played Find the Button, decorated with pumpkin plates and pumpkins, and just partied!

Clara Kate and her new cousin Baby Daniel decided to try to recreate the Lily/Levi photo shoot since Daniel and Clara Kate are almost the same ages as Levi and Lily were when we took their pictures. It looks surprisingly similar! :)

Trick or Treat!

Levi had his first real experience with Trick or Treating tonight. His first stop was Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's house. He was pretty pumped about being a chicken and loved seeing Clara Kate dressed as a cow. He was hoping to teach her to moo, but that didn't quite happen. :) He enjoyed saying trick or treat for the Great Gs, so he tried going to one of the neighbor's houses after the great Gs house, but was scared off when he heard a dog bark and decided just to go back to the Great Gs house and try again. That seemed like more fun to him! All in all, it was a great halloween!

3 Months Already!!

My baby is 3 months already! This is crazy how fast time if flying! She is holding up her head (I am holding it in the picture because she was learning it back as she got herself all excited so I couldn't get the picture!) and enjoying sitting in the bumbo seat now, making silly noises with her tongue, laughing a lot with a rasping high pitch laugh, grabbing things, and loving watching her brother play and talk to her!

To Infinity and Beyond...

Levi got this Buzz Lightyear costume for christmas last year from Grandma, but he was too scared of it to want to even look at it! Now it is his favorite thing! He wants to put it on ALL the time and even likes to show it to Clara kate. His favorite part is that the wings light up! (That is what he is showing Clara Kate in the picture.)

Levi wanted me write that the horse's name is Chief! :)

Church Retreat

Levi thoroughly enjoyed the church retreat this weekend. He got to ride on a horse and a boat! That was definitely the highlight for him. He also got to play with church friends outside a lot and eat good food and use drink machines to get milk and juice which was quite the treat! Clara Kate isn't pictured since she couldn't even go on the boat ride becasue there wasn't a lifejacket small enough! She spent most of the weekend riding on my belly in the Moby.

Fall Fun

Levi always enjoys watering the flowers but this is a real treat because the flowers are in pumpkins! Instead of carving these, we decided to make them flower pots and Levi loves it. :)
He wasn't too sure about the messy pumpkin seeds though and wasn't too into that!

Clara Kate is waving "hola" to everyone. :) Big smiles are laughs. Levi loves to make her laugh and smile and wishes babies didn't need to sleep so much!

Three!

Levi turned 3 this week!! He decided that he needed to have 3 parties since he was turning 3 years old! He was pumped to help make cupcakes to take to his friends at church school and then enjoyed celebrating with a trip to Chick fil A and presents with his cousins and Grandma and then a night out with his mom and papi and Clara kate and presents! What a life for a 3 year old! He has been enjoying telling everyone that he is 3 years old now. He also thinks that he should take cupcakes to church school every day he goes now because his friends really enjoyed them. :)

Baptism

Clara Kate was baptised last sunday on 10/5. Levi was pumped to have his cousins and Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Sally and Uncle Chris at church for the baptism. He asked today if they would be at church again this week, but I said no because it wasn't Clara Kate's baptism this week, so he decided that he would get baptised again himself so that they could come. I guess we need to work on our theology! :)
