It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Now that Thanksgiving is over, on to Christmas!  We enjoy listening to Christmas music, having a fire and setting up the tree and then at the end reading our first Christmas book!

Levi always enjoys helping Ollie learn to do new things, like how to hang ornaments!

Our first book of the season cuddled under the christmas blanket!

Thanksgiving Weekend Fun!

We all had a great Thanksgiving seeing some of our Michigan cousins and aunt Rashel and Uncle Greg and of course all the cousins here and Grandma and Grandpa! The kids played football, monopoly, just ran around, some capture the flag and party games,  and ATE!

And the youngest 4 (excluding Ollie) went to the aquarium with Grandma and Grandpa!

The kids and I were singing Laurie Berkner's, "I'm gonna eat on Thanksgiving Day, Turkey and Stuffing and Cranberries....and before you can count to 1,2,3, I'm up for the pumpkin pie"!  for weeks now so it was nice to actually sing it on the real day!

Some Thanksgiving Baking

The kids were super excited to make the layered jello because it just kept going and going!  They would hear the teapot whistle and come running to help with the next layer! :)

Now I need to get some thanksgiving weekend pictures from Grandma to add here to show us eatting this and having fun with cousins and celebrating Reese, Ainsley and Henry's birthdays!

Parade Dancing

Clara Kate danced through a lot of the parade.  It was pretty cute watching her wave and just keep a steady little dance going while they went by. Ollie got into it occasionally too but I couldn't catch him on video!

East Ridge Christmas Parade

The kids were pumped for the Christmas parade.  Ollie was  again trying to figure out what a parade was and now says that parades are really loud since this one has lots of go carts and things in it and are very loud!

It was fun but feels early to be thinking about christmas already!  Levi yelled out Happy Thanksgiving a few times to the floats instead of Merry Christmas. :)

November Days

A daddy hug
Ollie especially loves this and asks him to do it again and again and again!

Ck is reading to her babies.  She still is the teacher to Ollie quite a bit but if he isn't up for playing school, she resorts to her babies who are excellent pupils!

My cutie who is also quite the two year old right now..."why",  "but why, mom" ALL the time!  Not to mention the daily mischief of this little guy...washing the bathroom with toilet water, washing his hair all by himself which means putting soap in it when we are not bathing!, needing to check everytime you take the trash or start the washing machine never knowing what he might have put in there....oh dear there are so many things.  He keeps us on our toes to say the least! :)
Then Ck doing her favorite "school" activity which of course is starfall games on the computer.  (And yes, we often do school in our jammies! The beauty of being at home!)

A Leaf Hunt

Before we could go on our Hunt, they need to eat their banannas "like monkeys" where they leave the peels hanging like the ones at the zoo do!

Then our leaf hunt, to scout out the prettiest fall leaves we could find.  Ck had been wanting to do a craft with them for a homeschool project for a while, so we did.  She had a blast! Ollie however started playing in the dirt instead after about 5 minutes of hunting! :)
