Athens Vacation

We had a little athens vacation at Grandpa and Grandma's house for dad's last week of summer break. The kids still get one more week though. The kids all thought their athens house is a great vacation home because of the pool and basketball goal!  Clara kate has become a little fish and was even brave enough to go in the deep end!  Levi was confident in his diving and did some off the diving board, and ollie is always cute in his batman life jacket kicking and jumping away!  It was a good end of the summer party!

Clara Kate is 6!!

Clara Kate is really 6!  She had a party with Lucy with a little Frozen theme with an ice cream cake and Olafs for the kids. Her idea was to play dolls with Lucy and the boys could play their own games. :) She now has her ears pierced and got some new earrings she is excited to put in soon!  She got an extra party (kindof) since the summer library party was Saturday too. She even got to take her picture with Elsa there and got a free princess puzzle book!  Combine that with her party with Nana and Papa in Michigan and her Mellow Mushroom party day with us and she has had quite the celebration!  She seems older already and more like a first grader! 

Summer lego village and tree chopping

 

The kids have been working on a lego village for over a week!  They play is every day and it has become this whole big city with money and services. The pictures don't really show the whole set up but I really think Craig might have thought it was more fun than the kids even! :) They also got to help Grandpa cut down our dead tree in the front yard.  They were all good workers and it was cleaned up in no time! 

Cow day!

Cow day at chick fil a!  Free meals for all of us!  We have done this so many years that I could look back at the blog and remember what levi wore at 4 to have ideas for Ollie!  This is the first year that we got a Grandpa cow too!  Retirement life is good. :)  One picture shows Craig cow entertaining all the kids; theybwere pretty cute laughing away!

This really just happened!

Clara kate just got her ears pierced! She picked a little silver star.  She finally stopped sucking her thumb and the deal was when she did that we thought she was mature enough for pierced ears.  And before she was 6 she finally did it!
