Self portraits

The kids do self portraits in their art class each year.  We love seeing how they see themselves and how it changes year to year. Here are this years self portraits and Ollie's first one. It is such a fun art project! They make things that they like around their head as well. 

September days

This picture is supposed to show everyone ready for the first Michigan State football game of the season dressed in their State clothes! Craig was VERY excited! 

Levi and Ollie are VERY into tennis right now because they have been watching their cousin Henry play for CCS tennis team.  They have made a court in the driveway using bikes as their net but ask to go the courts as often as they can!

And this is the kids for crazy hair night at Kids Club for church. There are different themes each week. Can you see the eyes in Ollie's hair and the face on his forehead? Clara Kate has cupcakes in her hair with a candle in the middle and Levi has a crazy wig we had. 

This shows Clara Kate swinging on the swing Ollie and CK made between the trees. They made it strong enough to hold them but they can get it back off too. We seem to always have things hanging from our trees outside! 

And one of the Lego creations that was started to begin a village they were working on. (They love for me to take pictures of their creations!)

Family camp/church retreat

We had a great time at Fort Bluff Camp over Labor Day with our new church. We got to know lots of people a little better but also enjoy the scenery and fun together.  The kids loved the water slide which I forgot to take our camera to so no pictures of the huge water slide! They also enjoyed human foosball, the blob, water trampoline, corn hole, basketball, volleyball, miniature golf, and lots more! It was a fun weekend!

School days

This is Ollie's kindergarten class. He is smiling and happy even though this was taken the first day of school!  He has been enjoying it and LOVES to show us his papers each day and practice what he is learning in projects he thinks of at home too!  

This is some after school fun with friends on a rainy day. Everyone likes to run and play after a school day even if they are getting wet! 

Clara Kate and her doll Lily Grace dressed alike. The outfit her doll has on was one of mine from when I was a kid.  The outfit I had that matched the dolls outfit didn't make it as long though so CK made her own to match. 

And some card houses were the big thing for a few weeks here after Grandma showed the kids some pictures of the beat card houses their cousins were making in Michigan still on summer break!
