April Days...

Well, April here brings baseball, baseball and more baseball..... usually, but we've had a lot of rain so just some baseball and probably a ton once we make up these rained out games! Levi has enjoyed playing first base again and occasionally plays short stop too.  And every morning the kids play games of baseball in the playroom before Levi goes to school. They often set up the pillows for bases and leave their helmets on the step the night before awaiting their game the next morning.

The kids have also really been into making their own board games and then playing them.  Mostly Levi and Clara. They can color and make little cards for hours!

Some boat playing with Ck and Ollie, they were taking their boat to Florida I believe.

And just cheesing for a picture!

Another thing April brings is garden time.  We have strawberries growing rapidly and can't wait to have our tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, beans, and cucumbers!  We added another small bed this year so now we're up to 2 and 1/2 beds.  We are trying to find ways to utilize the not so nice to look at chain link fence behind the garden beds too.  Maybe grape trees or something.  I wouldn't mind trying some kind of vertical bed for lettuces maybe.  We'll see how motivated I am to plan/make something like that!

And then we let Levi try out mowing a little.  He thought he might be big enough now and he could do it but just barely!  I think in a couple more years he'll want to take over the mowing!

And Ollie reminds me so much of little Levi in some ways.  He LOVES when Craig mows the lawn and is content to just follow him around the yard as he goes.  I have lots of memories of Levi doing this too!  (He is kind of camouflaged with the rose bushes though.)

And April also brought Kindergarten round up for Clara Kate.  She was excited to see her new school and meet some kids and the teachers.  She was very excited and even raised her hand to ask questions and just enjoyed being one of the kids!
